We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve just released a completely new version of the Liquid app.
We’re not normally ones to blow our own trumpets, but our Product and Engineering team have been heads down for the past couple of months, and we have rebuilt the entire experience from scratch. You’ll excuse us if we’re pretty proud of the end result.
So, what’s new?
For starters, we’ve redesigned everything about how it looks and feels. The cream and navy is gone, and we’ve simplified the colour palette. Clean, tidy, and simple. Like it should be.
We’ve made it easier than ever to verify your driving licence and register. All you need to do is to take a photo of your driving licence, and magically in the background we’ll run some quick checks. Ta-da, no more proof of address, no National Insurance Number or DVLA share code.
It’s a marked improvement from before, and when you compare it to trekking to an out-of-town portakabin in the rain and filling in 10 pages of paperwork, well, we don’t think there really is a comparison.
On our mission for fully transparent prices and no hidden extras, we've changed our pricing.
Weekdays (Monday-Friday) are charged at £100 per day, weekends are £200 a day.
This same price includes everything it has always done - a top of the range Land Rover Discovery Sport HSE Luxury, drop-off and collection to your address in London, unlimited mileage, insurance, the Congestion Charge, up to 2 extra drivers, and much much more.
On our mission to make it as easy and pain-free to rent a car as possible, we’ve reduced the deposit (sometimes known as ‘excess’) from £1,500 to £750.
We listened to you, and we understand that £1,500 is not insignificant. Our deposit is now one of the lowest in the market.
Under the hood there are a lot of exciting changes that you won’t see, but that will make life so much easier for our driver operations team. Smart scheduling, delivery slots, and availability calendars are just a few things that will enable us to continue delivering the well-oiled machine that many of you rely on. This is increasingly important as we increase the number of cars we have in service.
There’s lots of other new stuff that we’d love to tell you about - like in-app notifications, smarter booking reminders, and a transparent booking calendar - but we’ll leave you to discover them for yourself.
